GEAR Day
SWE at ASU hosts grade-specific engineering sessions/activities for grades K-12. A fun day filled with science swag, engineering challenges, and partnerships with all your favorite ASU student organizations, join us for GEAR Day!

Higley High School STEM Night with Higley SWENext
As part of SWE ASU’s K-12 outreach initiatives, our SWENext committee partnered with Higley High School’s SWENext chapter in partnership for a STEM Night.
MissionThe SWENext committee aims to strengthen the relationship between SWE ASU and K-12 SWENext chapters across Arizona.
What is a SWENext Chapter?A SWENext chapter is designed for K-12 students to explore STEM, develop leadership skills, and connect with a broader SWE community.

SWE x RISE
SWE ASU collaborates with RISE tutoring, another ASU organization, to share STEM education with their students during their Saturday lessons. This year, we explored projectile motion through a mini trebuchet activity!

Sisters in STEM
Sisters in STEM invites K-8 students to take part in activities and demonstrations in every STEM discipline to showcase STEM and how much fun it can be!
This event is organized by Sabercat Robotics, a FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team based out of Saguaro High School in Scottsdale and SWE at ASU provides volunteers. Visit their website for more information.

Pitchfork Pantry
SWE at ASU volunteers at Pitchfork Pantry’s Saturday Distribution Days once a semester to help hand out food and other necessities to ASU students.
Pitchfork Pantry is a student-led food pantry that provides fresh produce, rescued groceries, and toiletries to college students for free. Visit their website to learn more.

SWE at ASU volunteers with Keep Tempe Beautiful to help pick up trash at parks throughout Tempe to help keep them clean.
Keep Tempe Beautiful is a 501(c)3 non-profit, volunteer-run organization committed to inspiring and educating the community to take action in making Tempe a clean, green, and beautiful place to live. Visit their website to learn more.
Lost Our Home Pet Rescue
SWE at ASU volunteers at Lost Our Home Pet Rescue, including cleaning, restocking, and organizing their facility. Volunteers also give the pets some much needed attention while they are waiting to be adopted.
