Welcome back after a well-deserved summer break! We at the IEEE Student Branch at ASU have been long awaiting your return and are thrilled to get you back on board for another semester packed with events that help you build connections, learn professional skills, and strengthen our community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Industry Info Sessions<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We have already started hosting our info sessions, starting off with these events from August and September:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Burns & McDonnell:<\/strong> Introduced students to the company\u2019s goals, projects, and career pathways. Attendees gained insights into civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering roles while networking with company representatives and peers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kimley-Horn:<\/strong> Explored career paths in civil engineering and highlighted major projects like the Ocotillo Bridge and Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport expansion. Students learned about real-world applications of engineering and the impact of thoughtful design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Power Engineers:<\/strong> Highlighted multidisciplinary services including power delivery, generation, facilities, and environmental projects. Attendees discovered the company\u2019s casual yet professional culture, remote-friendly opportunities, wellness programs, professional development initiatives, and large-scale projects like building a new substation in Tucson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Texas Instruments (TI):<\/strong> Showcased broad career opportunities for engineering and business students, emphasizing innovation, inclusivity, and hands-on work. Students learned about internship and full-time programs, career accelerator paths, and projects in validation, marketing engineering, and PCB design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arizona Public Service (APS):<\/strong> Provided insight into utility operations, sustainability, and energy infrastructure. Students gained exposure to grid modernization, reliability initiatives, and the variety of roles and skills required for success in the energy sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Medtronic:<\/strong> Offered a glimpse into medical technology and engineering applications in healthcare. Attendees learned about career paths, innovation projects, and opportunities to make a tangible impact on patient care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reverse Career Fair<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Our IEEE officers tabled at the Reverse Career Fair to meet industry professionals and establish new connections. These connections will allow us to host more info sessions, workshops, and hands-on events for our members throughout the semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking Ahead<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As the semester continues, IEEE at ASU is excited to keep bringing students closer to industry and real-world engineering experiences. From hands-on workshops and lab tours to networking with professionals, our mission is to equip members with knowledge, skills, and connections that will shape their future careers. We can\u2019t wait for more opportunities to learn, innovate, and grow together as a community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
