Attendees appreciated the small-team culture, mentorship programs, and relocation assistance for roles such as internships, co-op programs, and full-time positions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Kimley-Horn:<\/strong> Explored career paths in civil engineering with insights into impactful projects like the Ocotillo Bridge and Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport expansion. The session deepened students\u2019 understanding of real-world applications in engineering.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Texas Instruments:<\/strong> Showcased broad career opportunities beyond electrical engineering, encouraging students from various majors to explore diverse roles and expand their career aspirations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>CDM Smith:<\/strong> Provided an engaging workshop on interview preparation, covering topics like aligning personal goals with company values, phone screenings, and thank-you notes. Students also learned about CDM Smith\u2019s mentorship programs, tuition reimbursement, and professional development opportunities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Power Engineers:<\/strong> Highlighted multidisciplinary services such as power delivery and renewable energy projects. Students gained insights into the company\u2019s supportive work culture, project variety, and focus on professional growth.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Electrical Consultants Inc. (ECI):<\/strong> Focused on power delivery and renewable energy projects, such as the world\u2019s largest solar power battery storage facility and the Pinal Solar Project. \/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>IEEE-USA Science and CHIPS Act Presentation<\/strong><strong><br><\/strong>On October 16th, we partnered with IEEE-USA to host a presentation on the CHIPS and Science Act. Erik Heilman, Director of Government Relations at IEEE-USA, shared insights into this transformative legislation, which provides $52.7 billion for semiconductor research, development, manufacturing, and workforce development. Students learned about its implications for U.S. technological leadership and workforce inclusivity, as well as IEEE\u2019s advocacy initiatives like Congressional Visits Day and the WISE Internship. This event added a unique and memorable experience to their time at Fulton and ASU, fostering a sense of community through shared enjoyment and Halloween spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure data-id=\"https:\/\/students.engineering.asu.edu\/design-experiences\/\">Fulton Schools Design Experiences<\/a>, we hosted an exciting RC Control Meet on November 7th. Participants designed, assembled, and raced remote control cars on a track filled with hurdles and challenges, testing their engineering creativity and problem-solving skills. Teams were judged on design, speed, and efficiency, with prizes awarded for top performances. This hands-on event brought together students of all majors for a day of teamwork, friendly competition, and fun, fostering a sense of community and technical exploration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure These opportunities allowed us to connect with students, families, and professionals, promote our mission, and encourage new memberships.
