About

The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) Student Chapter at Arizona State University® (ASU) is an official student chapter of the international SME organization. Our chapter is dedicated to advancing the knowledge and skills of students in the field of manufacturing engineering. We provide a platform for networking, professional development, and hands-on experience through workshops, industry tours, guest lectures, and collaborative projects. Our mission is to inspire and equip future leaders in manufacturing by fostering a community of innovation, learning, and excellence.

Accomplishment

SME is proud that our members have been able to receive over $100,000 in scholarships in recent years, 2 of our students have won the SME International Director’s Award (the most prestigious undergraduate award in SME), and we have made hundreds of industry connections, and helped hundreds of members find internships and jobs upon graduation.
