About

The National Society of Black Engineers at Arizona State University is a student-led organization whose mission is “to increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community.”

We are an organization committed to empowering students of all backgrounds in STEM, especially Black engineering students, through academic support, career development, and community.

We’re focused on:
• Creating a strong academic support system to help our members thrive through study sessions, mentorship, and peer support, all aimed at successful degree completion.
• Building an inclusive and welcoming community where everyone feels seen, supported, and valued
• Helping members grow through research, networking, and career development opportunities.
• Connecting with local and national NSBE chapters to share resources and build stronger bonds.
• Encouraging service, leadership, and innovation in line with ASU’s New American University values.
